Upstate New York Backyard Wedding // Chandani + James

There aren’t many words that can accurately relay the magic that filled Chandani + James’ wedding day. To state that we left them with full hearts would be an understatement. It was the kind of day with the kind of people that remind us why we make photographs of other peoples wedding days. When we say we fall in love with you all and your stories, we mean it with our whole hearts.

This was no ordinary backyard wedding - I mean, really, they rarely are which is much of what we love about this style of affair - there’s always a new story along with such a location. Chandani + James were married on a beautifully wooded plot of land in Upstate New York, which they purchased in a snow storm a year ago to build their tiny house and respite from New York City. It was beautiful. Family and friends camped on the property, the ceremony was held in a giant tree adorned in flowers, dinner was passed around on vintage porcelain platters and bowls, and the genuine love and joy permeated the air throughout the entirety of the day.
